Presentations made by the 2017 Leadership Groups Team 1 Topic/Title: Engaging Veterans at TCC Presenters: Susie Alvarado, Michael Kaluya, Victoria Peterson, Rahsaan Dawson, Nathan Zimring (Team Leader) Description: Team 1 explores the various veterans programs and partnerships TCC is affiliated with and measures them against a student survey and four key principles of trust. Team 2 Topic/Title: Building Trust in 20 Minutes Presenters: Jessica Collins, Carolyn Wilson, Archie Wilmer III, Sara Ansley (Team Leader) Description: Team 2 will review TCC’s advisement process and how it aligns with the 4 Cores of Credibility. Team 3 Topic/Title: Taking Students to Their Next Step Presenters: Niloofar Asgharian, Terry Cooper, Reginald Lewis, Misty Renteria, Susan Hamilton, Christina Henley (Team Leader) Description: Team 3 explores how all TCC employees: administration, faculty, and staff can help assist students in transferring to their next role after being at TCC. Team 4 Topic/Title: Societal Trust through the Family Empowerment Center Presenters: Shawnta Coleman, Randy Jackson, Mario Luna, Vekeisha Baker (Team Leader) Description: Team 4 will explain that trust is one of the most important components in our society. The Family Empowerment Center has the ability to respond to the needs of the community and supports the main principle of societal trust: contribution. Team 5 Topic/Title: Applying the Speed of Trust Principles to the Advising Process Presenters: Wahiba Belakhoua, Ashley Dela Rosa, Leslie Johnson, Edgar Maldonado, Terrell Shaw (Team Leader) Description: Team 5 will examine TCC’s advising process in order to determine if the Speed of Trust principles are currently being used. Team 6 Topic/Title: Finding your Pathway at TCC Presenters: Jennifer Bustillos, Amanda Fletcher, Harry Johnson, Thomas Sosa (Team Leader) Description: Team 6 will describe efforts to implement Guided Pathways at TCC and how these pathways foster trusting relationships to support students' educational and career goals. Team 7 Topic/Title: Maintaining Trust through Communication: Covey’s 4 Cores of Credibility Presenters: Chasidy Coffer, Lynda Fox Arnold, Monika Jones, Sherri Mata, Felicia Payne (Team Leader) Description: Team 7 considers TCC’s communication with students in comparison with Covey’s 4 Cores of Credibility (Integrity, Intent, Capabilities, and Results).
